"First appointment with nuro surgeon"

About: Hurstwood Park Centre

Following nearly a 12month wait and years of misdiagnosis I had my appointment..

I have great respect for most doctor's and surgeons which at times has been tested greatly..

Unfortunately this highly skilled surgeon was so robotic i am wondering now if he was one?

I should never have been there and certainly didn't ask to be and he struggled with answering my questions

And my husband's - other to say ' you haven't missed the boat ' I am 71 yrs of age and have had back problems and treatment since

I was 29yrs old and my spinal arthritis has never been told to me until recent years in fact only in the last 2 years- I expected the symptoms of numbness in hands legs feet to be at least explained and to know if there were symptoms i should we aware of but I felt i couldn't really tell him all of it there was no time and and he just reiterated the pros and cons of spinal surgery which I already knew - I was there for the symptoms i have and because a caring doctor referred me.

If the 12 month waiting list and the endless reasons we are told of why surely if my scans had been looked at earlier as a letter to the said consultant that it was not appropriate for me i would have eased the strain on the system and I would not have been left to feel i was wasting his time...
