"Recent Appointment at Forth Valley Royal Hospital."

(as a service user),

On the morning of the appointment a road traffic incident caused major hold ups on all local roads. The appointment started behind schedule. The consultant was very apologetic, courteous and professional. The meeting was immediately placed on a  calm and relaxed footing.

The flow of information was efficient, useful and easy, A very helpful and pleasant experience, particularly in view of the fact that the discussion was focused on my recent diagnosis.

Impressed and grateful.

Thank you for your feedback concerning your recent appointment. I am very sorry to hear that once you arrived in the department you experienced a delay in being seen. We know your time is precious and we would prefer not to keep you waiting. It sounds as though it wasn't a typical day and thankfully we don't see such unfortunate circumstamces too often.

I'm really glad that despite the delay you had a positive experience and we were able to provide you with helpful information. I suspect it took great effort from all the team members to continue to deliver good service in challenging circumstances. I was working on such a day recently and I know that the good cheer and extra efforts of those working beside me made such a big difference to what might have been a stressful morning. I will let everyone involved in Cardiology see your feedback which I know will be greatly appreciated.
