"This regarding my 83 year old husband"

About: Hertford County Hospital / Dermatology

My husband saw a dermatologist re an erosion on his face in Feb 2017, he was prescribed a cream and told he would be seen again within three months. After a nine month wait I rang and asked if he would be receiving an appointment soon .I was told that he would and that they could not give me one there and then but he would receive one soon? We eventually received an appointment for June 2018, when we would have been on holiday. I rang and spoke to a lady who told me she had not any appointments available until after October, that he would receive one after then. There is a history in my husbands family of skin cancer, which I was very concerned about. To this date he has not heard another word/appointment, the only consolation is that it is probably not cancer, because if it had been, his face would have probably dropped off!

We're truly sorry your husband has experienced these problems.

The best people to help are our PALS (patient advice and liaison) team.

If you can email them the details, they'll try to help get this sorted out. Their email address is pals.enh-tr@nhs.net.
