"Good Care at the correct time."

About: General practices in Lanarkshire University Hospital Monklands / Ear, Nose & Throat (Ward 9)

(as a parent/guardian),

Daughter required to be seen by OOH service at Douglas Street.   She was seen by both a nurse and a doctor and she felt that both listened to her respectfully and showed care in her condition.   She was then sent to ENT at Monklands Hospital, where again she was seen by a lovely nurse who again listened to her and came up with a treatment plan to prevent her being admitted - which was her biggest fear.   She was seen and treated rapidly by both OOH and ENT and I personally would like to thank both teams for their patient-centred care.   My daughter was feeling very unwell on the day she was seen but is beginning to improve.

Dear n2019

Thank you so much for taking time to let us know about the excellent patient-centred care your daughter received from one of our ENT Nurses when she attended the Hospital for treatment. I am glad that she was treated so quickly and that this meant she did not require an overnight stay.

I will make sure that your comments are passed on to our ENT Ward and staff.

I hope your daughter has made a full recovery.

With best wishes

Lynn McTavish
