I have had an ongoing cough which gave me sore lungs when I coughed which had also given me extremely sore ribs and the sore ribs feeling is near gone but I still have soreness inside (feels.like lungs). My breathing is ok but still !around 250 on peak flow meter reading.
I had booked blood test (lost it never received it and you didnt wish to rebook it?) I booked allergy test still not sent to it.. I booked a Spiromentry and the nurse cancelled.it. I waited weeks for that as I am still without diagnosis. The nurse believes asthma and although I am happy to hear a diagnosis how can that be confirmed with a spirometry and still why do I have this feeling of soreness in my lungs upon breathing or a light cough. Occasionally a drowning feeling that did wesr off a bit and has returned. Still I also have phlegm that is green which indicates an infection that wont go.
I have had a couple of great GP visits here (one lady who 1st gave me the asthma pumps could see my struggles with breathing and she gave me steroids) she was excellent and actually bothered to progress things but since then it's been poor the care I've received.
It must be 2 months of absolutely no diagnosis yet there was no earlier indication of asthma. I was healthy before just headaches at times but never breathing issues at all.
Now I have been fobbed off and not taken seriously for weeks that I have now lost confidence in getting help due to lack of care from your GPs and also it affects me because now I am use to the uncomfotabilty because I've had it so long. I endeavor to change my GP to a local one as I am now Barnet based. But just to clarify how poor your surgery is again I have moved 3 Times and each times a few times I have had to remind you of my change of address from Oakleigh park to northeast house to Collinson avenue and you still have the old address.
I am going to sign up with a new GP this week and I am ashamed to say how I haven't had a simple spirometry or test or been sent for a blood test.. you lost one and I was told by the nurse I didnt need one but it's clear it will help with the diagnosis.
Where is the allergy test too?. How do you explain that to another GP?
It is simply embarrassing.
Please take my complaint seriously because it has actually affected me and upset me and I would dislike for another person to receive such poor care (accept it was excellent concerning the Gp whom prescribed me steroids and asthma pumps in the first place. She could see exactly how uncomfortable my cough was and couldn't understand why I had been given nothing). That's the real issue for me because it is obvious physically my cough and how uncomfortable it is. Not just me mentioning symptoms and it being hidden.
I will join another surgery as I have moved and only stayed with.your surgery as it overlapped my move.
Regards,
Jennifer Coyle
