My mum has received the most wonderful treatment at the great Western Hospital on Sunday/Monday. Even though we were in a&e for 10 hours on one of the busiest nights they’d had for a while, my mum was treated so compassionately and looked after so well by the wonderful nurses in the dept. How these nurses manage to work so hard and still manage to smile and be friendly and helpful in such busy and trying conditions I don’t know but I am in awe of them.
I saw ambulance men and women come in with patients and even though they were so busy the way they treated their patients too was amazing, reassuring them, getting them extra blankets and taking the time to patiently talk to and reassure them.
My mum was then moved upstairs to the kingfisher ward and once again the nurses were fantastic, especially the nurse looking after my mum, taking the time to chat and reassure everyone, treating everyone with such compassion was amazing and made my mums stay more bearable. They were professional, kind, compassionate and even had a little joke here and there with the patients whilst all the time they were so so busy.
So thank you to them all, you were all amazing and thanks to you all my mum has now recovered and is home
"Fantastic treatment"
