I have just been discharged after spending a week in chestnut ward. I was treated with respect and was looked after by some of the nicest young nurses. Everyone involved in my treatment and aftercare was calm and collected. All were helpful from the ward sister to the cleaners. The only things that let the ward down were nothing to do with the nursing staff. The shower on the ward was not working and although there was a bath it was to go round the whole ward. Having said that all the staff were willing to help out. At times the staff were put under strain by the admittance of patients with high dependency. None of the nurses were phased and continued to care for us all equally. Well done.
"Care and respectful well trained staff."
