"Lanarkshire hospital transport"

(as a service user),

I had an appointment for physiotherapy and was booked in for hospital transport.   I rang three times to see where the transport was to be told 'it's on it's way'. When it finally arrived there was only fifteen minutes of my scheduled appointment time left so by the time I would have arrived there the appointment would have been over so there was no point in me going.   My next appointment I spent 50 minutes on my cellphone using all my credit trying to get through to the department to be told they were running late yet again.   No one contacted me to let me know and I was just left waiting.   Each missed appointment costs the NHS money.   Not good enough.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on CareOpinion.

I am very sorry to read about your experience with respect to the Patient Transport Service. This must be quite frustrating. There are occasions where ambulances can be delayed for a number of reasons and often when this happens the clinics are understanding and will do their best to facilitate alternative times on the same day. It would be interesting to find out if this was an option that was explored. May I ask that you raise this through our feedback services so that we may look into your concerns?
