I was admitted due to a miscarriage at 16 weeks.
I was treated with dignity the whole time and the care I received was outstanding! I expected to have support to deliver the placenta and then be discharged but the care I received before and after the procedure made a difficult situation bearable. Each and every member of staff that I met made sure that they went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable and looked after, continually making sure that my emotions/mental state were cared for at the same time. I admired the way that doctors/anesthetists made time to speak to me personally to explain any procedures, this was not rushed and they showed genuine regard to my emotions.
My family were all treated with the same dignity and compassion and we were all blown away by everybodies kindness.
I live in the West Midlands and although I appreciate that different hospitals have different strains due to how busy they are, I just feel the care I received in Cornwall was far more than I may have received from my local hospital.
Thank you for all you did for me and my family at this difficult time.
