"Absolutely awful"

About: Birch Hill Hospital

I spent just under a week here as an inpatient and was absolutely appauled by the way the staff treat not only the patients but also their own staff! I overheard many nasty comments being made both towards patients (by staff) and also behind their back. The place is dirty. Faeces and urine on both the toilet seats and on the floor. Sticky tables etc. I asked the reception staff for information on where the PALS office is or for a contact number as I was too afraid to ask the staff on the ward and the reception staff did not give me any information or attempt to find information.I will be contacting PALS ASAP about this as there is much more to say.
