I went for a gentle jog but soon after reaching home, I began to feel seriously ill. No chest pain, but started to feel cold and was sweating more than I should. After 20 mins or so I began to get seriously worried - still no chest pain though so the thought of having a heart attack didn't enter my mind. My wife took me to our GP Surgery (Sleaford Medical Group) where I was rushed into the treatment room. One ECG later and the HA was confirmed. Dr Pardoe (my GP) and his team were superb, within 10 mins I was in an ambulance heading towards Lincoln.
On reaching Lincoln County Hospital I was rushed into the Coronary Treatment Lab, undergoing a stent insertion via my right forearm. This took 3 hours owing to slight complications. On returning to the CCU I had already begun to feel better, but was kept under close obs for 24 hours. The staff at the CCU couldn't have been more professional, caring and attentive. I owe so much to them. A family friend stated - once he knew I was at Lincoln CCU - that I was in one of the best Coronary Care Facilities in the UK. I'm not surprised by this. I feel so, so much better now too and have returned home.
