I would like to extend my gratitude to the staff of the Casualty department for the prompt care and attention given to me on Saturday August 3rd, 2019. The staff were thorough in obtaining all relevant information and initiating the investigations and contacting the necessary Specialties needed by me at that admission. I received exceptional Nursing / Medical specialist care after presenting with symptoms of a Stroke. I was treated with kindness, compassion, professionalism every step of the way and can only praise every member of the relevant departments.

I spent a short time on ward 15B where I again was given exemplary care from each and every staff member.

The Stroke Team cannot be praised enough for their diligence and expertise.

I met the specialist nurses,physiotherapy,occupational therapy and speech therapy personnel all of whom were exceptional, their knowledge and expertise is phenomenal. Following ward discharge I have attended various departments for investigations such as Cardiology for Echo, 24hr tape,Ultra sound on carotid circulation also treated with respect, care, dignity, and understanding. My patient journey to date has been seamless, faultless and am currently awaiting a Consultant review to discuss findings and to develop a way forward from here. It will give me the opportunity to convey my heartfelt thanks in person for the brilliant standard of care that I have received from each and every staff member in Southport Hospital.
