"Safe delivery of first child"

About: Cumberland Infirmary / Maternity

I couldn’t have faulted the care from the second I walked in with paramedic who initially brought my mum in to A and E and then my waters went! All the staff were so helpful, respectful and caring. There was the righ amount of humour too which really helped. I learnt so much from them about how to care for my little new born son. e The heating on the ward though -It was tropical! Thank you all so much

Wow, congratulations on the birth of your son! I think that is a day you will never forget… I do hope that your mum was well and not attending A&E as a patient?

I am very pleased that our staff were caring, respectful and able to help you. I completely understand where a little humour did help an especially stressful time.

I will pass your comments to the lead midwife as I am sure she will be delighted to share your feedback with the team, and have a look at that heating thermostat.

Best wishes to all the family.
