"Privatisation of NHS services by the backdoor."

About: Manchester Royal Infirmary / Nephrology

This iconic building is now housing the MFT hospital renal satalite service and dialysis . Unfortunately the clinic is on the 7th floor, and as a patient you have to use the lift that all the other staff in the building use. This is not a good idea for privacy or of someone becomes I'll. I also did not see an emergency button to call for assistance. The signage to the service is very poor. There is no clear sign st the main entrance to direct you to tbe back of the building.Instead a burly man appears and directs you to the back by gesturing with his hand, he appeared to be annoyed that he had to give directions again. On the wall of the consultation room is Nephrocare not tbe NHS logo. The staff a lovely as usual the NHS staff put on a professional and brave face . I do not understand why this facility has been commissioned when NMGH is just metres away. It seems like duplication of services , which in turn means wasting money.
