"27 minutes on hold"

I needed to find out my blood tests results so i decided to telephone today. I was left on hold for 27 minutes. This is just not good enough

I am sorry you have had a negative experience of the practice. We are a very busy practice dealing with an average of over 300 calls per day from patients. This means therefore that our patients may find themselves in a call queue waiting to get through. We deal with our calls as quickly and efficiently as possible but as you can imagine some of our patients have complex queries which can take a long time for our reception team to resolve. If your blood results were abnormal the surgery would contact you so therefore there is no need to contact us and wait in a long call queue. I hope that helps for future reference.
