"Abscess while between surgeries over the bank holiday weekend"

About: South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / NHS 111 William Harvey Hospital / Out of hours service

(as a service user),

abscess ( non dental in dentists opinion ) raging over the bank holiday weekend whilst between doctors surgeries following a house move. Excellent telephone help given out of hours and an appointment at the WHH.

Seen promptly and given a prescription for antibiotics for abscess symptoms which helped prior to seeing a consultant at a hospital referral appointment.

Outcome was a dental abscess after all.

Dear Claris,

Thank you for taking the time to give us some feedback on our out of hours service. It must have been horrible to have an abscess while trying to settle into your new home too, and it being a bank holiday.

It is great to hear that we were able to provide you with a good service and some medication. Fingers crossed you are recovering well.

Best wishes,

Richard
