"Care and temperature."

About: Ninewells Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

Carers, Doctors, Nurses and auxillary health workers are absolutely awesome here at ward one cardiology Ninewells. Caring, friendly and approachable. I have nothing but praise for them all. If only you could get heating going on these increasingly chilly days and particularly nights. I do miss my central heating. I get extra blankets on request, and the nurses are always willing to help me get as comfortable as possible in my bed. Not sure how the heating is controlled, but it seems the ward has no direct control. Otherwise superb.

Thank you for you most kind feedback in relation to your care within the cardiology Department. Please be assured that you comments have been shared with the teams.

I am sorry that you felt the ward was cold at times. This time of year can be challenging in controlling the temperatures within the wards as the ambient temperatures and weather can be so variable.

Unfortunately due to the age of the hospital the heating systems are controlled centrally and are set according to seasonal weather. This can result in variation dependent on the weather conditions outside.

I was glad to hear that the staff did try and make you more comfortable by providing additional blankets. We will pass your comments to the Building manager within the organisation.
