Starting with heart attack at the beginning of June 2019, the experience in the ward was fantastic. Unfortunately waiting a week for stents but stable.
The process of being referred was good. Cardiac nurse coming to visit in the ward to give class information was reassuring. It was fantastic that after care was considered and discussed. The given booklet was informative and Nurses revisited to answer any further questions. This made me feel well informed and speaking to directly to the right people.
The class is brilliant with a good mix of people. It’s nice to speak to other people going through the same thing, especially at the start. Nice to speak to others who have been through the same and more motivational than just coming from professionals.
The classes keeps me motivated to get up and out to exercise and confidence to keep active independently. The classes have help differentiate symptoms of angina and normal everyday aches and pains, giving more confidence for returning to work and being more active.
I find it easy to talk to the Cardiac Rehab team about any problems which gives peace of mind.
