"Waiting at the A&E"

About: Victoria Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as a parent/guardian),

We took our baby who is under 6 months old to the Victoria hospital's A&E in the late evening. We waited 1 hour and half to be seen by the nurse and waited for more than another 1 hour and half to be seen by the doctor. The staff member at the reception apologised for the busy night, but some condition won't heal itself just by some apologies! Our baby is was sick again while waiting. The sick on his top had already dried up, and we hadn't been seen by any doctor. It is heartbreaking seeing my own child in pain but no one coming to help! Especially as he's so little! I can't imagine if they made a 5 months old wait for more than 3 hours to be seen, how long would an adult have to wait? It is the worst A&E we've been!
