My mum was taken into the very busy admission ward 18 from out of hours. From telephone to nhs24 out of hours and then to ward had taken a lot out mum and she was quite distressed and anxious about being admitted to hospital. However she had no need to be. The nurses were fantastic and they made mum and me feel at ease immediately. Even though they were extremely busy nothing was a bother and reassured us at all times while we waited for the doctor. Mum was only in a few days but the care she received was a credit to the NHS.
I don’t think ‘we’ the public appreciate how busy and stressed the nurses are yet they keep on smiling. I definitely didn’t. People were getting home and new people were in the beds in a blink of an eye there was no rest for them.
I'm sorry I can’t remember all the staff's names other than Sarah, Sharon, Arlene and the lovely Mark, but want to thank every one of the staff for all the kind words and care mum received it won’t be forgotten you are real angels.
