"long waiting to be diagnosed by a nurse"

About: Sheffield City GP HC (Wic)

i went to the walk in centre for back pain, sweating and dizziness. after half an hour i have been assessed by the triage nurse. after another three hours, which i do not mind, i have been visited by another nurse. this year i had a heart attack, pneumonia and i suffer from emphysema, but i was not given the opportunity to see a doctor. next time i will go to A and E with the same waiting time at least i will see a doctor. walk in centre should be useful for people who do not want to bother hospitals or use ambulance but sorry, this is not the case

Hello, thank you for taking the time to leave feedback regarding your visit to the Sheffield NHS Walk in Centre. We are a nurse led walk in centre so we very rarely have a doctor on duty, the nurses which we have on site are advanced nurse practitioners which can examine and assess appropriately and prescribe medication if necessary. I apologise if we did not meet your expectations, if you would like to contact the centre directly i can look into your experience futher.
