I recently attended the scanning department for a CT virtual colonoscopy. I was extremely worried as the symptoms displayed were indicative of the possibility of cancer. I had previously attended the department 12 months ago and the experience at that time was not good - partly because of my attitude to the staff and partly because of their response. At that time no examination or scanning was carried out. What a difference a year makes. I cannot thank the 2 ladies who met me and carried out the procedure enough. Not only were they very reassuring but also professional in every single way. The following day I had another appointment at a different hospital department and I was surprised that the person I was seeing already had access to the scans taken the previous day.He commented very favourably about what he was seeing which was further reassuring. Today I have received written confirmation that there is no cancer and the Consultant's belief 12 months ago that I more than likely had diverticular disease has been proved to be correct.Sir, I cannot thank you and your staff enough. I apologize again for by actions 12 months ago and thank you for everything that you have done for me. You are all, every single one of you, a credit to your profession and we are very luck to have you watching out for us.
