"Excellent help"

About: Lanarkshire Community Services / Hospital at Home University Hospital Hairmyres / Care of the Elderly (Wards 13-16)

(as a volunteer/advocate),

The Ward 14 Nurses work very hard with varied duties eg helping eat and drink.

Treated by Hospital at Home before coming into hospital. Nurses attended over three weeks at home. All excellent help from those nurses. Would have been useful if this group could give an idea of what time of the day they will arrive.

In ward 14 medication arrives on time. Patient knows plan ahead and happy with this. Doctors explain what is happening to patient. Doctors noted as working very hard and a great pace. Family is happy with care received.

The food is good. Omelettes a speciality!

Dear Uhh45,

Thank you for acting as an advocate for our patients and relatives who may not always be able to post feedback on the site.

I'm pleased the service from Ward 14 has been so positive from nursing and medical staff. We all work as a team and couldn't provide the care without including our domestic services, catering and AHP staff.

Unfortunately our Hospital at Home team cannot always predict times for visits as staff review continually the status of all patients and may need to prioritise a visit at short notice due to patient condition or needs.

And lastly.....who doesn't love an Omlette…..

Kind Regards on behalf of the team at UHH

Gwen

Dear Uhh45,

Thank you for taking the time to post and share your experience. I am really pleased that you had a good experience with Hospital @ Home. Unfortunately as Hospital @ Home is an emergency service it can be really difficult to prearrange times of visits, however where possible staff will try their best to accommodate.

Once again thank you for taking the time to share your experience and comments which I will share with H@H staff.

Kindest Regards

Jackie Baird
