"Pre op clinic"

About: University Hospital Ayr / General Surgery

(as the patient),

Throughout the process I saw several members of staff, all were very good. Heather, the nurse I spent most time with was very understanding professional and kind which was reassuring.   The most helpful part as far as I was concerned was the fact that I could have time to explain my anxiety without feeling rushed. Dr Mitchell was very good at listening to me and I felt that she took everything I said on board which made me feel better about having my operation. Had I been left to hurriedly talk to her on the day I would have been very concerned that I might have missed out something which may have been important.
