I have attended the rheumatology clinic for many years having been diagnosed with RA in 1999. The team there are exceptional willing to go the extra mile to ensure as a patient you are well managed and understand the treatment journey. The monitoring team are always pleasant and put you at ease the moment you walk through the door. The specialist nurses are on hand to guide you through some of the more difficult periods of the disease. The doctor has been my consultant since day one and through his interventions has made sure my disease is well managed, treatment is understood and detrimental outcomes minimised. I know there are many more people that are involved in the running of this fantastic service and I thank them too. RA has been a challenging journey coming from being a fit athlete to not being able to even get out of bed in a morning but the rheumatology team have always been there for me
