My husband's leg had swollen after a bite and we were worried how to manage this on a long journey and that we wouldn't be able to get to our GP for some time. A local pharmacist referred us to the Unit at Alnwick Infirmary. We were seen quickly and the nurse was very friendly and helpful, answering any questions we had.
She gave us excellent advice about what we could do to reduce the swelling and explained what we needed to look out for over the next few days. It was great - she gave us all the information and reassurance we needed.
