"Food disgusting"

I was in for two days following major surgery and the food was cold and disgusting, so much so that two women were sick after eating one meal. We ended up without anything from tea at 6pm until breakfast at 8.30am.
Although we complained we were told there wasn't any thing else. So much for being told you need to eat to aid recovery.
