"Midnight Emergency Visit for Severe Chest Pains"

I went to A&E at 3am, on the 31st of August 2019 for a Medical Emergency. I am a Sickle Cell Anaemia sufferer, and I was having acute chest pains and I couldn't breathe. I initially had to wait about 10mins at the reception before I saw a nurse who then wasted a bit of time with silly questions, while i was in severe pain, before taking me back into the main hospital area. Once I got a Doctor to attend to me, things moved rapidly.The service was truly impressive, as they insisted on doing numerous tests to be certain of what was wrong with me. The female Doctor who attended to me was so empathetic and listened to me and reassured me every step of the way. She also made sure I was given a bed and made comfortable. She eventually referred me to Hammersmith Hospital, where I was admitted and given further treatment. The transportation there was rapid and the Patient Transport Driver was such a lovely man. Every single staff member who attended to me was friendly and sympathetic. I am still pleasantly surprised by the whole experience and I would like to thank every involved with my care.
