"Do your research"

I have learnt such a lot since my referral about my condition and truly wish I had done some research prior to selecting Salisbury Gynaecology. I didn’t feel my consultant listened to me and only gave me inappropriate options that would not rectify the problem or consider my life choices. The surgery I do need is available on the NHS but sadly my consultant did not have the skill set to perform this and instead of referring me to someone else, he wasted six months of my time.

I am now facing another long wait and it looks like I will be left like this for another six or seven months. My condition affects me both physically and mentally yet there has been no care or support with this. The second opinion that I sought, informed me that what was being recommended was inappropriate but not being in the medical profession, I had to rely heavily on my instincts to find a way forward.

I’m very disappointed and would urge anyone NOT seeking a Hysterectomy to look for a solution elsewhere.
