I went to my normal midwife appointment to sort out my birthing plan but I then found out I had pre eclampsia. I was sent over to the BGH. When I got there the staff couldn’t of been anymore helpful to me. It was all very scary as I didn’t have a clue what was happening. I was only 36 weeks and 3 days so I wasn’t ready just yet for baby to be coming. The midwife try to induce me on the Tuesday and come the Wednesday morning baby wasn’t for moving so a section it was. It was all a blur to me I was just so tired and groggy. I finally met my little girl who was being looked after by SCBU and I got her back the next morning. Over all I spent ten days in hospital due to little lady getting jaundice losing to much weight and not feeding. But finally we got home. The whole time being in ward 17 the staff kept me going when I had my moments of weakness due to being sleep deprived. I couldn’t fault them from start to finish and still can’t thank them enough for all the done for me. But my little girl is now 7 weeks old and is filling out very nicely. Keep up the good work ward 17 BGH
