"Serious concerns"

About: Arrowe Park Hospital / Accident and emergency

After a really recent visit to Arrowe park hospital accident and emergency department, after having to wait nearly two hours in a hall way with a queue of all the trolleys, then taken it to the accident and emergency, where you find staff standing around, one filling supplies in the middle of the entrance, three behind the desk talking to a male staff about their holidays. Having been in the care sector myself for 40 years this practice was so unprofessional, I could hear them talk about other patients treatments and what they would be doing next, looking around at staff just standing around, finally coming to take blood from me then taken back out to the hallway, waited another two hours then back in the accident and emergency, I was put in a cubicle after having to wait by the desk in my trolley, listening to the NHS staff joke, laugh, about how the other team didn't cope, talk about other staff, and say their names, talk about the patients in the hallway by name and talk about their holidays yet again, then to listen to one staff member flirt horrendously and laugh loudly with a male on a computer, another staff member walking around saying "when's your break", can't wait to see my man tonight"

I didn't see the hospital trust views of practice at all here It was horrendous. Then I was moved again to trolleys where I spent the total of about 8 hours, not once did I get any water, the curtrain was put around me and left here all night, listening to staff laughing and joking, banging around, not once did the elderly beside me get any water, one had to call out to staff several times in distress, when staff finally saw him, he had soiled himself. The whole time I was on trolleys and had to go the toilet I had to take myself, and when I had I was sick all over myself, walking past staff standing around talking about shifts and other senior figures which these staff did name, not once did any of us get asked if we wanted a drink or any food besides being there over 8 hours, I saw the doctor once, then all after was the HCA, the noice from the staff was disgusting. Finally getting a another move, it was to ward 43, still part of accident and emergency department, it was freezing cold I was put into a bed and just a sheet put over me, listening to the other patients complaining they are freezing, wanting help, this part was the worst experience of practice of care I have ever experienced with this ward been overlook by two of the most unprofessional staff members I have ever experienced in my time in care, one being a sister, and the other a male, who the whole time I was there sat behind a desk laughing, flirting with each other, not once asking if any of us needed anything, or any water, one patient after a time, got the water themselves. Not once did these two look over that desk and i could hear the other patients calling out in pain, not once did I see any of the views of care or the six c's in this particular care practice, I c
