I was around 12 weeks pregnant therefore had a surgical abortion, the name of the procedure just made me more nervous and I’m quite the panickier as it is. On my consultation the nurse was really kind and friendly which immediately put me at ease. All my questions where answered no matter how uncommon or strange they might of been. I felt very reassured that I would be in good care. The day of my procedure came and I was extremely nervous and very emotional. I saw lots of nurses that day with everyone of them being kind, sensitive and reassuring. After it was all done and I was waiting in the aftercare room where you are offered biscuits and drinks along with pain relief, I massively built up the experience in my head to be something terrible and it was nothing like I anticipated. The pain was fairly minimal and I could go home as soon as I felt ready. I can’t thank the staff and nurses enough for making my Experience the best they could given the circumstances.
"Comfortable and calm experience"
