"From the walk in centre to going home."

About: Colchester General Hospital / General medicine

I started in the walk in centre, was red flagged to A&E then admitted and was then finally transferred to Danbury Ward. Cannot fault the level of service from all the staff in each of these departments, witnessed unbelievable occasions of abuse from waiting patients and relatives to various staff. Spent nearly four days on the ward and received amazing treatment from Consulants through to porters. All do a great job but still receive unwarranted criticism and verbal abuse from ignorant patients and their relatives, more commonly from the older generations. Well done and thanks to all the staff I saw in all the departments.
