In early August our Dad became unwell whilst on holiday to celebrate his 80th birthday.
We took Dad to Ninewells A&E, on arrival staff were so kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. We were very concerned as we are not from the area and Dad has complex medical issues, but this wasn't a problem, the staff both Medical and Non medical were excellent.
After several tests it was advised that dad needed admission so was transferred to AMU where we met more dedicated staff especially a lovely staff nurse called Seamus who eased both myself, my sister and my dad and explained that he may need another transfer but they were stabilising him.
Dad stayed on the ward overnight and then was transferred to Ward 3 and yet again we were met with kindness, compassion and knowledge where my dad stayed for several days, all the staff were so helpful with all concerns we had.
Throughout dads admission nothing was a bother to staff and dad has recovered well.
We would especially like to thank SN Claire, SN Katy Cameron and Dr Chalmers (from Middlesbrough) who made this stay so much less stressful than it could of been.
"Nothing was a bother"
