I recently gave birth at the Whittington and found the antenatal, labour ward and post natal ward gave me the highest level of care.
I was so impressed with the dedication, attitude and warmth of the staff, particularly the midwives on the labour and post-natal wards and reception staff in the antenatal clinics. I had two student midwives present during my labour and was therefore able to witness the high standards of teaching being given to them, as well as benefit from their kind and diligent care, even in the awful early hours of the morning! In the weeks following I unfortunately had to take my newborn to A+E where, again, the care and attention we recieved from both the nurse and paediatric doctor were excellent. I felt listened to, reassured and even had a follow up phone call several days later. The departments in the hospital clearly work very effectively together and the communication between paediatrics/ outpatient clinics/ health visitors was outstanding. Huge thanks to all that looked after us.
