Having have a successful cataract operation on my right eye last November I returned on 7th July for the operation on my left eye. Convinced that I would be leaving with near perfect vision.
These day one has to be signed off by the doctor or optician who first referred me to the hospital. The outcome on my left eye didn’t seem to have worked as well at the first eye and I couldn’t see as well out of the left eye and I complained that I had a scratchy feeling and I felt unbalanced. My optician after testing my eyes tried convincing me that it wasn’t a problem that couldn’t be solved with a pair a new glasses. I insisted on being referred back to Spencer Ward for another opinion. Thank goodness for my instinct as I returned to the eye outpatients where my problem was quickly diagnosed by the doctor I simply had blocked ducts in my eyelids not allowing my eye to be coated in natural oils.
She prescribed eye drops and a routine with an eye wash and an eye mask. It’s only three days since visiting the eye outpatient clinic and my eyesight is great. I had already been cleared to drive by the fantastic doctor in outpatients after sight tests gave a different result to that of my optician but she probably wasn’t as highly trained in marketing as my optician. Thank you, thank you, Kettering General Ophthalmology. I love you!
