"Knee arthroscopy"

About: Hospital Of St Cross / General surgery

I have just got home from having a knee op at the day surgery unit. I am so impressed by the whole experience. The hospital itself is lovely and quiet , everything from the car parking to getting to the ward was smooth and easy. The staff on the day surgery ward were amazing (I won’t name names but am happy to if you want to pass it on!). The nurses were amazing at their job very calm caring and funny really put me at ease. Everyone from the ODPs to the anesthetist were fantastic. My surgeon and his registrar were very informative and came to check on me in recovery and on the ward. The physiotherapist that I seen post op was lovely and reassuring giving me excellent advice.really can’t make any complaints at all. As a paediatric sister it was hard to be the other side of the job for once- and all the staff at rugby st cross were outstanding and you should all be very proud of yourselves! I will be back for follow up/a second operation and at least I can feel at ease about returning now. I am happy to give any more information about staff if you want to pass it on- such a good experience. Thank you all so much

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent positive experience of General Surgery on the Day Surgery Unit at the Hospital of St Cross. I was pleased to read that your experience left a positive lasting impression and that you were put at ease by the staff. I hope your follow up operation is equally as positive and that your recovery goes well.
