"No catheter"

About: Royal Preston Hospital / Ear, Nose and Throat

Had an operation on ear last year under general anaesthetic. Was dismayed that when I awoke I was informed that I'd "had a little accident". No catheter was fitted and I was informed by a ward nurse that they feed about a litre of fluid into you while you're under - so what did they expect. My bladder is not super human. Where is the dignity????? I'm dreading any further surgery at the hospital.
