I'm a sixty-seven year old woman who has had a long history of colitis.I had a flare-up in July 2019, caused by the Campylobacter infection. I thought that the quality of care was of a very high standard in ward 44. I was given initial thorough testing, followed by daily blood tests.
The staff work incredibly hard and are kind and polite to everyone, even difficult patients. I thought that Tanya (I'm sorry that I cant remember her job title) was a very valuable member of the team, because she had a bit more time to discuss any concerns that I had, and find out information for me. In my opinion this is an essential part of patient recovery. It can be an emotional and traumatic experience to go to hospital, but the staff are kind, efficient, and dedicated. I'm very grateful for the care I had, and would like to thank all staff at Ward 44. They were just brilliant.
