About: University Hospital Hairmyres / General Surgery (Ward 5)

(as a volunteer/advocate),

Ward 6: Doctors very good - good clear information given. Raised a medical enquiry today and resolved immediately. Medical care has been excellent. Nurses very supportive. Only need to ask for something and it’s actioned right away. Input from stoma nurse excellent- provided with information/literature. Discharge planning in place. A few issues with dietary requirements which have hopefully been sorted out today. Open visiting good. Staff don’t rush visitors away. Ward kept beautifully clean and tidy.
