Spent all day yesterday in A&E suffering from anaphylactic shock after being stung, around 6am by a baby/small wasp. Luckily it wasn’t a large adult.
I managed to quickly find anti-histamine cream and tablets [always around] which gave me time to phone for an ambulance and the ability to talk to the assistant, though not properly, before being hit by the full severity of the sting. The phone assistant was very good advising what to do while waiting for the ambulance which quickly arrived. The paramedics spent an hour or so stabilising before hospitalising me and the senior one even diagnosed a possible minor chest infection which turned out to be accurate when I was later given a scan. After being regularly checked, given oxygen and seen by the doctor and having returned to an almost normal state at around,4pm, I was allowed home with medication prescriptions. So thank you all who attended me
"Great Service from all of A&E who attended me."
