"They didn't take any action to help us"

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

No help... i feel sorry for anyone who has no option but rely on health care here...

I had an appointment after 3 miscarriages in Royal Infirmary Hospital in reproductive department. I waited 4 months for this meeting only to receive useless, based on nothing feedback.. 1st thing we met with not the doctor who was assigned to us but (I believe) some practicing person... they didn't examine me, just told us a story how unlucky we are and didn't take any action to help us. When I asked for lutein/ progesteron to prevent my ongoing spotting 6days before each period this staff member shook their shoulders and said go to GP. I started crying that they didn't want to help us. But they just said try again and not come here again but to GP. Really ? ? ? I have no idea what should happen to see a real doctor who examine me not make up a stories from the moon! ! ! ! ! It's good that I can rely on the real doctors in my country! ! ! I feel really sorry for all of you who is in similar situation!

Dear Apes

I am so sorry you are having such an emotional and upsetting time and feel that the staff didn't want to help you.

I cannot comment on your individual care but would be happy to look into your care in more detail if it would be helpful. You can contact the Patient Experience Team who will forward your details to me.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your experience of using Women's Services at the Royal Infirmary at this difficult time.

Regards
