"Good therapists but poor communication"

About: Edgware Community Hospital / Neurological Rehabilitation Centre

(as a service user),

My speech therapist Neave from Edgware is really good and really helpful but the NHS are always changing my therapists for my home visits without telling me.   I don't mind if they let me know by email but they should let me know. I have lots of different therapist, speech, occupational and others and they are always changing, I can't remember all the names it gets confusing.   I wish they would tell me.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, we are glad that you have found the service to be helpful. We are sorry that your therapists have changed a lot and understand that this can be confusing.


As a service we do have a number of rotational team members that move every 9 months, so faces within the team do change however this can be a positive thing as it brings new ideas.

We plan to ensure that when an initial appointment is booked, or if there has been a change in therapist either an email or appointment letter is sent to confirm who will be visiting you.

This feedback will be shared with the whole team and we will look at a way of improving your experience. We will also think about ways to keep you updated in regards to any changes to the therapy team involved in your care.

If you have any ideas about this, or areas of the service that can be improved please continue this dialogue with the team on care opinion.
