"Worst practice in Bedford !"

About: Pemberley Surgery

since the merger it’s got worse can’t get an appointment for 4 weeks plus and when u do it’s pot luck if u get a decent doctor . When I was pregnant with my first second son I attended an appointment to have my hospital referral for Milton Keynes maternity so my cvs could be booked in a good amount of time as I have a very serious chromosome problem . Found out weeks later no referral had been made and nothing in the system about the pregancy . Then attended a midwife appointment to do the very urgent and important referral waited over an hour and a half then when I finally was seen by the midwife she said she didn’t do referrals and couldn’t help me ! It took finally the community midwife to do the referral and me booking my own cvs . Now I’m pregnant again and I attended an appointment with a gp two weeks ago she said she did the referral and even prescribed antibiotics for a cough I have when I called the surgery regarding an appointment for my son and enquired about my referral I discovered there was nothing on the system here we go again ! Now I can’t get an appointment till 21 August when I will be 9-10 weeks when my cvs needs to be done at 11 weeks and takes three weeks to be seen at the hospital before ur cvs . When you explain how urgent and their mistake I’m told by reception it’s tough and what do I want her to do about it ? Since the merger I don’t see the same doctor twice and lot of them are rubbish staff are rude and seem like ur an inconvenience for even calling so now I’m worried there will be problems in my pregnancy and I want find out till it’s too late due to this surgery’s incompetence!!!!!

Please accept my apologies on behalf of the practice that you feel that we have let you down on these occasions. I would like the opportunity to review the issues you have raised regarding your previous experiences - but most pressing is the referral that you make reference to. Please email your details to me on

marked for my attention and I will get in contact with you.
