"Initial assessments 2 hours and forgotten about"

About: Royal Derby Hospital / Emergency department

(as the patient),

After going to the Derby walk-in centre I was advice to go to A&E following my chest pains. I waited for over 2 hours for an initial assessment, was forgotten about then reminded them that I existed.

At which point a very hostile member of staff interrogated me for as I didn't go to my GP (not registered at one after university), then why I waited so long - I went to the walk in clinic, which noted my file to show my appointment and symptoms.

After this they informed me that it's incredibly busy and even though patients were flowing quickly that I'd be waiting an awful long time.
