(as a relative),

My mum was admitted to ward 61 ITU QEUH Glasgow following transfer from Crosshouse Hospital A& E this month. She unfortunately had suffered a severe SAH and was cared for in the ITU ward for 8 days before passing away peacefully. I would like to thank the staff in Crosshouse A& E involved in her care in resus and also those nurses and doctors involved in her care for the 8 days she was in QEUH ITU. Words are not enough to describe just how compassionate and caring all the nurses and doctors were towards my mum and our family. I am eternally grateful to them. The nursing staff and anaesthetist took the time to listen to our concerns and I appreciate this. I felt it important to let all the NHS staff involved know just how much they are appreciated. Thank you.

I am so sorry to hear about your mum. I can only imagine how difficult this time is for you and your family.

I really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience of our Emergency Department. I am pleased that you felt the care was caring and compassionate. This is something we hope to provide all of the time.
