"Did their job wrong and won't even help"

About: Ealing Hospital / General surgery

I had an umbilical hernia surgery almost 3 weeks ago and now that the inflammation is gone I can clearly see they did not fix my problem! I went on general anaesthesia and one whole week of being unable to walk properly for nothing... The bump is still there and it is noticeable! And when I tried to call to ask for a follow up or who should I speak to, first the receptionist transferred me to A&E right away without even letting me know, extremely rude, and the next lady from A&E was just trying to get rid of me saying she will not be able to help me at all and just to go to my GP and wait for another follow up appointment. Just on the phone I had been told that the surgeon should have booked an follow up for me... unbelievable! On the day of the surgery I left really happy for the attention I had been given but now I think I just fooled myself thinking NHS could be any good.
