"Never again!"

About: St Peter's Hospital / Gynaecology

I was greeted by a male Dr and a male student. I was not given the option to have the student sit out the appointment. I was so uncomfortable and when the Dr went to do the exam, they didn’t have any of the tools needed and I had to sit there while the nurse was hunting around for them and the student just kept staring at me. The NHS should be training their staff on how to deal with victims of abuse. They did not have all of my files from my gp and I was told I would need to contact my gp and get them myself.

It’s was a very unprofessional environment and I felt completely traumatised. I was so upset when I left that I was having panic attacks. Next time I have an issue, I’ll request to go elsewhere.
