"Ward staff rude and unprofessional!"

Staff were rude and made inappropriate/unprofessional comments on more than one occasion. When brought to one nurses attention that her comments were offensive and inappropriate she stated that she was just joking. Unfortunately the joke was far from funny, especially to the anxious patient who had just suffered an extremely traumatic incident. Staff did not engage well with the patient and did not keep him up-to-date with the plan of care and they also spoke to family like they were stupid. As a nurse myself I find it disgusting and worrying that there are people like this in the profession. They should be ashamed of themselves and really need to re-evaluate the way they treat their patients and concerned relatives.
