"My Happy Place - Care is great"

About: St Lukes Hospice

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Been coming to hospice for a year. Got ill about 2 years ago. Had chemotherapy. Then referred to Hospice. Get treatment and outpatient services. Care is great. Staff are amazing. It's like heaven. Making friends is so wonderful especially as they are in the same boat. One day where no one judges you.

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience of St Luke's Hospice outpatients services with Care Opinion.

We are pleased to hear that you feel the care you receive is great and that the staff are amazing. I will pass on your comments to the rest of the out-patient team.

For some people living with an incurable and progressive illness can be quite isolating. Some people lack the energy and motivation to engage with activities they previously enjoyed doing. Through our activities and services St Luke's Hospice work hard to provide an environment where people feel they are not being judged and where they can socialise with others who are in a similar position. We are pleased to hear that when you attend you don't feel judged and that you have made friends whilst attending.
